Safety In Your Home (part 1 )

knock. knock. who's there?

Safety in your home is more than just taking up throw rugs and keeping pets out from under your feet. It starts with protecting your home from intruders especially those who claim to be your home health care providers!

That’s my home and I’m, stickin’ to it! Your home should be the one place in this hectic and busy world where you are comfortable, safe and secure. It’s up to you to keep it that way.

In this generation, scam artists are coming out of the wood work, devising ways to get into your home for no good reason except to harm or rob you. It is YOUR home. YOU are the only one who allows people to come and go. It is no different with your home health care providers.

You’ve likely heard the story’s on the news about make believe plumbers or mold specialists coming in to check your home or your plumbing for free etc only to walk off with all but the kitchen sink. Home care is no different when it comes to smart thinking.

Home Health Care needs are skyrocketing in our aging nation. Anyone can come to your door claiming to be from your local home health agency. Yes, anyone… which is why you need to be diligently careful in who you welcome into your home and why.

There are ways that you can play it safe and check up on would be visitors claiming to help you. Call 911 if you are suspicious.

We are working on an entire MegaSafety check resource to help you keep your home and loved ones safe in these times of high crime, abuse and scams. Sign up for our occasional newsletter to be the first to know when it rolls off the press!
