Is it possible to start on a small scale,a few cna's one nurse and myself? We have a lot of adult care experience.

I've never started a home health care business but Medicare rules get tougher and tougher as fraud runs rampant in this business.

You will need to offer all services including home health aids, all therapy's and have a good chunk of money in the bank for your business.

I would suggest that you, instead, start a private non-medical (?) home care service. Or, look into cash pay only - some physical therapists are doing this as most states are "free access" now.

The hoops you'll need to jump through to bill Medicare will suffocate you, whereas, cash pay eliminates all of that billing.

Talk to your attorney about specific rules and regs to start your own non-medical home care business.
