Mobility

don't let the golden years keep you down!

Mobility - the very word can strike fear and loss in some, while instilling others with excitement and hope. We hope to bring hope to your situation.

When we stop moving in life, we simply start deteriorating. For many this simple blessing, once taken for granted, is now the one thing that days and nights are spent thinking about and wishing it back.

Our topic in physical therapy has many meanings - referring to things like how one is able to position themselves in bed, or the correct way to climb steps. It can also refer to a form of locomotion or transportation such as wheelchairs and scooters. And lastly, we it refers to the movement of a specific joint.

With the exception of bed and step 'how-to's, we will be talking about locomotion and how disabled patients are able to navigate through life with more independence, confidence and self esteem.

Although we try to cover the basics in these areas listed below, everyone's situation will be different. If you have questions, contact your nearest home health agency. They can get you set up with a home health care physical therapist if you qualify.

Manual Wheelchairs
Power Wheelchairs
Scooters
Ramps
