About Me

marcia oliver mspt, cpt, emt-b

Hi. A little bit about me.

Some people don't care who's behind a site and what drives their passions. Some people do - I'm glad you stopped by.

I'm Marcia Oliver MSPT, CPT and EMT-B.

I have a few other credentials but credentials aren't much to speak of unless you can use them in a way that can change the world.

I know I can't change the world but I can help a few, one person at a time...maybe you. It's what I'm about.

At www.home-health-care-physical-therapy.com I believe in fitness but I believe MORE in health. What? Is there a difference? I believe there is.

My goal is three fold:

  • to give you 26 years combined experience and expertise as a Physical Therapist and Personal Trainer.
  • to help caregivers and anyone else avoid home health care altogether by making healthy changes now.
  • to promote health and fitness in tangible, functional ways no matter what your ability or disability.
  • If you want to know more about me and where my site is headed...

Success can be yours - count on it!

I've been in home health physical therapy (PT)since 1993 - a lot of experience(and 10 years of personal training knowledge)! After helping hundred's of clients one on one, I'm revealing my secrets, my skills and what I've learned on the front lines so that you can benefit.

When the rubber meets the road - it's about you. Most physical therapy experiences are nothing to make light of. Many people are introduced to PT through some very traumatic and life changing circumstances. However, most of these people are also introduced to a much healthier and stronger lifestyle. Some continue a path of health whiles others choose not to.

    But...

Eventually, physical therapy does catch up with everyone through observation, age, injury, career or clinic/agency ownership. Whatever your introduction to this valuable resource, we are here to answer your questions.

If it's caught you, you don't have to drown in a sea of confusion!

One day you'll need this indispensable (and free through Medicare!) resource for you, your parents or grandparents.

So, what's the big deal? Home health care physical therapy affects most everyone in one way or another, sooner or later. It touches lives, hearts and can create lasting friendships.

I am dedicated to helping you find answers to some of those tough situations encountered at home. Every person is unique and different and every home is built differently. This makes it impossible to have a set rehab program for everyone with the same diagnosis. We call those canned programs. Although the basics can be for everyone... the necessary tweaking to make it fit you is often left out.

I'm putting my years of Home Health Care Physical Therapy experience and personal training knowledge 'on paper' for you. It's helped thousands of people in my career... why not thousands more on-line?!

Find the answers to the tough questions you are looking for here! Keep dancing with special insights from experience designed especially for you.

Contact me on our 'Contact Us' page if you are looking for specifics that you did not find here.

I grew up in Maine in a home that taught healthy living. We worked hard as kids, ate healthy meals and rested on the Sabbath day. I went to college and received my Masters degree in Science and Physical Therapy (PT) in 1993. I worked for 6 years before pursuing two credentials in personal training, one from ACSM and the other from ISSA in 1999.

I've lived most everywhere as a traveling PT. My travels took me near and far and after 5 years in Loma Linda, California, I moved east and settled in Poland, Indiana. In my midlife, I've learned that life is not all about me... it's about loving God, serving others and living simply.

My career has taken me through most aspects of physical therapy with most of my time spent in the home health care field. The more I read and learned about the very lifestyle that I was raised with, the more I really wanted to include the prevention side of health care in my career - and as best I could and help people to avoid the need for home health care all together!

Thus www.home-health-care-physical-therapy.com was born in an effort to curb the stresses of this western world on our already short lives.

I believe that health and rehab is more than just physical fitness. It's emotional and spiritual and one can not be pursued without the others being affected or at a larger cost neglected.

When I'm not working on helping you here, you can find me on my Serotta cycling with friends, playing Ultimate Frisbee for fun and fitness, fighting fires or tending to car accident victims as a volunteer firefighting/EMT-B.

So, here I am, working towards my goals just like you. I've seen a lot of goals out there and I'm hoping that I can help you with yours. Enough about me, though, how about you?

Delivering the Gold Standard to the Golden Years.

    Marcia Oliver MSPT, CPT, EMT-B
